El Camino Gets New Rendering
The Chevy El Camino is one of those car oddities that never really caught on. Sure, they’re loved now by a certain group of people, myself included, but the general public just never understood why you would need a car pickup with a big motor. Myself and others saw the El Camino as the perfect balance of usability and fun, however, we are few are far between. Unless you’re in Australia.
However, with GM’s new Alpha platform, and a new Camaro on the way, what if Chevy once again dived into the past and resurrected the El Camino nameplate? What if the El Camino rode on the same Alpha platform that underpins the ATS, CTS and new 6th Generation Camaro? What would that look like? Thankfully, the internet knows no bounds and while scrolling through my Facebook feed today, I stumbled upon this wonderfully ridiculous rendering of a 2016 Chevy El Camino SS.
