i just got a new job . bad part is i will have no vacation for a year .
so getting to a track to add the gears will be tough.

after the 11.60 pass i got a great deal on a set of 3.91 gears .
i got them put in ,but now no time to run the car .

all the close tracks are 1/8 mile , the closest 1/4 mile is vmp or z-max

I don't know where your at but surely Rockingham is closer than VMP. Hell, I live in the middle of NC and could be at Darlington before I could get to VMP.

That's quite a bit of weight reduction for a GTO, but the times indicate it paid off nicely. Great times!

the best 1/8 mile et was a 7.36 but the mph was screwed up on that pass .only said 55 mph

most of the othere slips from that day put it at 92 mph range

M6 cars don't usually have the 60' that A4s do. Being that your right on the same 1/8 ET but with more MPH you should be getting to the 1/4 a little quicker.

So you trailer a bolt-on car to the track?

Have you ever ran it on the stock wheels? Mine only slowed down .05 from running a full set of Draglites to running my full set of 17s.

yes i trailer it to the track, it is easier to do all the wheels at the house with air tools .
i also bring a lot of spares to the track, truck is just a lot easier to do this .
spare stubs, spare half shafts , a complete diff, jack stands x4 , jack , trans jack, tool box ,tent ,cooler ,chairs ,water bottles ,fan, ramps for the truck.
then i also bring my stock wheels in case something happens to the trailer .
the closest 1/4 mile track is 2 hours away .
yes it may be over kill, but then again it may not be my car on the trailer going home .
i can swap my wheels back and trailer someone else home .
i am usualy the last one to leave . never leave a goat behind .
