Default Looking for 11s....114 mph good enuff??

Ran a 12.68 @ 113.9 this saturday in 4600 DA weather. car has gone 12.60 @ 114.9 last year w/ 4300 DA, without the shorties. Main hinderance is stock converter right now, netting me some horrid 2.1 60's, along with bald Nitto Drags. That will be fixed soon enough. but, I was just wondering about what ET an LT1 car trapping 113-114mph would theoretically run.

Thanks!

As long as you can run 111-112mph...you can get into the 11's. Of course you would need an awesome 60ft. At the track, it's all about your 60ft. With a 114mph, I would guess a 1.70 60ft would get you there.

Thanks, Hopefully, I can pull off some 60's around that range once i get the new `verter in the car. Not being able to spray the car until 100 ft out really kills the ET.

STOCK CONVERTERS SUCK!

now my next question, is the converter going to take away some of my mph in trade for better 60 and ET??? or should the MPH stay relatively the same??

A 114 mph trap speed is certainly enough for the 11's, but I don't think you'll ever see it with that stock converter in the car. As I'm sure you already know, that converter is hobbling your performance.

a loose converter will take away some mph, but it will be well worth the e.t. reduction. you should be able to hit 11's w/ a good converter and tire.
