8.50 1/8th
Does that put me in the 12'S! I have a stock 2000 SS Camaro with stock SS tires and rims. I just put the Diablo tune Air box and an SLP underdrive pulley on. With nice air the other night launching at only around 1200 for traction i ran a 8.55 in the 1/8th then a 8.5030. I could not beleive it. I broke out of street class and have to move up to Heavy next week. Even with a 200 plus pound passenger i ran a 8.65 and broke out of street class which limit is 8.70. I have ET streets to put on but still waiting for my Bogarts from STEVE. What do you think i will gain with the tires? Why do i seem to get a better times than others with just these small boltons?

You might be close to 12's, but not sure. Bone stock I ran 8.61@85mph 1/8 mile, 13.2@107mph 1/4 mile. W/ skinnies only I ran 8.51@86mph 1/8 mile, 13.0@108 1/4 mile. You definitely have a strong running car.

Thanks, I don't know why?
Thanks, i don't know why it is so fast in such a stock trim. I read other peoples posts that are struggling for that speed with more boltons. I will be running ET Streets and MT front runners on light weight Bogart rims. This weight reduction and more traction should give me a couple of more tenths i hope. I posted my track data on the time slip page today to show my times.

Thanks for the reply. Our track is only an 1/8th mile track so i don't know for sure. I will see in two weeks what i run with the rims/tires. There is a 1/4 mile track over in Canada not too far from me Toronto Motorsports park. Maybe i'll take a trip over there this year.

I ran 8.50 1/8th 1.99 60ft on street tires, 5.57 330ft. The car is an automatic. I was just suprised at the time it ran. With my ET Streets and frontrunners and rims i think i will be faster. I could only launch at 1000-1200 rpm with those tires also. Thanks for the reply

Maybe I missed it but what's your 1/8th mile MPH? For an 8.50 to turn into a 12.anything you need to be running 86-87 MPH at the 660' and then 108-109 out the end. You're close but I think you need to be just a tad quicker at the 660' to insure a 12 second 1/4 mile pass. The 1/8th-->1/4 mile conversion on my car works out to a 1.575. My 7.66x turned into a 12.07x. I ran 88.5 at the 660' and 111.82 out the end when figuring my conversion factor. I'm thinking your conversion factor should be a little lower than mine as I'm dead hooking off the line so maybe yours is around a 1.56 or so. Still, that puts your 1320' at around a mid 13.2 unless you're running a lot more MPH than I think you are. Hit a 1/4 mile track and get a conversion factor for your particular car/combo. It's worth it.

Thanks, you are right i will have to get over to Toronto Motorsports Park, It about 1 hour from me in Canada. As soon as my rims get here, i will see about taking a ride over there. The MPR in the 1/8th are 84.78. It also says on the ticket at 594ft 7.9. I just thought i was close with a basically stock SS, Air lid, pulley, Diablo program.

this past weekend my 98 ss ran consitant 8.8 in 1/8 with only a k&n and magnaflow exhaust with street tires. my car is all stock and a daily driver it supprised the hell out of me. before the exhaust upgrade my best time was a 9.2

Nice, i have not done any exaust work yet, just have the stock SS exaust still. Do you like the Magnaflow? I was thinking of going with the LM2 for more weight savings and HP.

Thanks, I new i was close. I will try this week with my lighter wheels and tire combo and reprogramed Diablo tune for tire size and shift points. I have gears on the way and maybe torque converter.
