'02 Vette, LS1/MM6, headers, CAI, tune, 12.69@113.8
I have a 2002 Corvette coupe, LS1, MM6. I recently had it in the shop for the first (but not last!) round of mods. I had American Racing 1 3/4" longtubes with metal matrix cats and 3" exhaust installed, along with a Callaway Honker CAI. A B&B Bullet two-outlet catback had been installed a couple of weeks earlier. I also had them change to a 180 thermostat, reset the fan temps, and perform a dyno tune. All work was done by Greg Lovell at AntiVenom in Seffner, Florida. Final dyno results, with a very conservative tune, were 351 rwhp/364 rwtq, SAE corrected.
The next day I took it to Bradenton. Ran it straight off the street on 5-year-old Goodyear EMTs at 35 psi. Best of two passes was a 12.69 at 113.8. I'm very out of practice and neither run was very good. I think it has a 12.40 in it as-is...except that it needs a clutch before it goes back to the track. Oh, well.
