Default first pass 9.68 - Turbo 370ci

Best
60ft - 1.41
1/8 - 6.14 @ 113
1/4 - 9.67 @ 141

Engine: Forged 9.6:1 370ci. Bowl ported (by me) 317 heads. Speed inc TU1 cam. Vic jr intake, low pro elbow, Billet Atomizer 160# high z injectors, stock PCM, HP tuner 2 bar, Dual walbro 255's, E85,

Turbo: PT76GTSH, home made truck manifold setup. Ebay 4" thick intercooler. Running off gate pressure of 18psi

General tune: A/F just being dialed in, into boost was high 10:'s loading up a little just before 5000rpms. Leaning it out started picking up MPH. Untill traction was no more. Full timing at 14.5 degrees.

Car: raceweight 3700lbs (with me), factory shocks, springs, homemade 9" rear end, homemade TQ arm, 3.50 gears, 275/60/15 MT drag radials, JW Pro glide, BTE converter. Home made anti-roll bar.

HP: Never seen a dyno, never will. Road/track tuned. HP/MPH calculator says at 141mph it has 849hp.

Logs show the best run (3rd run) Leaving at 11psi and shifting out of 1st at 5500rpms. I have a transbrake but didnt use it. This was its first time out and wanted to be conservative. Tried leaving at more boost (2nd pass, timeslip not there) and tires just blew off. 4th pass pulled more fuel out on the low-mid rpms and couldnt hook anymore..

With me and my helmet in the car it weighs 3700.. this is with out me in the car.

It comes on pretty good in the mid range...it starts to build boost fast gettnig on the converter. I've only made these few passes, still in the process of fine tuning it. I'll be putting a cage in it here shortly and then spring time i'll dial it in it and see what its got in it.

I had a nightmare because the manufacturer of them didnt have any injector data for them. Once the car was warm it wouldnt restart. Ed Hutchings helped me with that. Also the fuel pressure needs to be below 50psi, mine is currently higher and it loads up idling a little bit. I got it down from a little higher and it made a world of difference. I need to get a different regulator w/ a bigger return and a bigger return line... then im sure it will idle like stock. Driving around and anything above idle they work perfect.

Very nice. Couple questions...are those times running with a cutout or all the way through the muffler? And what regulator are you going to go with? Are you using the stock feed for the return line? Oh, and congrats on getting into single digits!

I live about an hour from the track and the first time out...I trailered it. I could have drove it but my luck i'd break something.

Yes its though the full exhaust. after the 3" downpipe it goes to a 4" bullet then then to a 3.5" all the way back to a 3.5" dynomax ultraflow oval. Its quiet. Had a 3.5" flowmaster race muffler but kept blowing off due to being restrictive.

Yes, foot brake. I could only get up to 11psi before the tires would break loose.

A lot of people don't know about BTE they make good stuff!

I bet with some good adjustable shocks and a electronic or CO2 boost controller you can go low 9's with that set-up if not 8's!

It was an LQ4. I had the block, crank machined and rotating assembly balanced at a machine shop. I assembled it myself. Eagle rods, SRP pistons, stock crank. Kind of a budget forged setup. Heads I did also a few years ago.

The converter came out of a friends BBC Chevelle, we just put it in to see if it worked. I like it and seems to work pretty good. I have a UCC one sitting on the shelf that came w/ the glide but has to be sent in and restalled. Probably just hold onto it for something else.

Its definately got a bit more in it, high 8's I think the weight of the car is going to hold it back from that.... its a pig.

I just finished up with the cage. My friend has a race car shop and tubing bender and bent all the tubing and I welded it in. going to get at getting the interior in tonight. Kind of custom. The entire factory interior will fit back in. Bar wraps around the back seat. Kind of different and custom.
