My vette 11.1@127 N/A 6800+ DA
I picked up the car at 1am, 7 hours before the track. A big Thanks to Bret and the guys at Racing Engine Design in Colorado for staying that late to finish the car!!!!
Car was not tuned with the new fuel system. I was seeing about 0.9 Deg knock in 2nd gear and 2.1 degs in 3rd and 4th. not sure if it pulls a lot of timing with that little knock or not. hopefully will get it tuned when my nitrous system is ready. I know its not really a smart thing to do without checking the tune, but I did a log and only saw little knock so I thought it will be fine especially since I am not running a lot of timing with the current setup/tune and it was actually rich.
car made ~505whp uncorrected in Nov 2011. but the tune was not changed ever since (New CAI, new fuel system, and few other minor things).
My best for the day was 11.1@127mph with a 1.77 60ft. 2nd gear burnout, 5200 Launch RPM. This was with no power shifting at all and kinda slow shifts (check the vid). I was doing 6400-6500RPM shifts since the car was not tuned. I should have went higher maybe 6800 or so but oh well.... when I am sure the tune is ok and everything is perfect I will beat the hell out of the car and try everything.
DA was about 6800ft. I was really holding the car back due to my driving experience. I have no doubts that the car would have run a 10.8 with a good driver in that same day. if not even better! I just couldnt. I sucked really at everything I couldnt even do a decent burnout

I really didnt feel good about this day at all and I was tired (only slept for 3 hours!) which was the biggest struggle I faced. I was scared of breaking something considering my luck in the past and no matter what I did, I just couldnt relax. I never felt that way in the past!! never!! I always drive the car like I stole it haha but couldn't do it this time. which I kinda understand since I have a lot of money into the car and engine. and this was the first time ever to race it and test it all.
I broke my main belt in my third run which made me even more scared of running the car. I have not raced this car AT ALL after the build (over 2 years!!) not even in the streets, which I guess was the main reason why I was feeling that way. you guys should have seen me, I couldnt stop shaking when I was pulling to the tree. especially the first few runs LOL
But I feel more confident in the car now. and I think I will be more relaxed next time I am out!!!
I managed to do a total of 9 runs. but only about 5 complete runs. I still need to figure out tire pressure and launch RPM, but I think I kinda have an idea now. with a little more practice and seat time, I think I will be able to run 10.9-10.8 with a good 60ft (or better!).
here is a quick vid I made (I dont have my best run on vid)
