How to remove brown stains on white paint (tree sap?)?
Hey guys, I've got a white car, and I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem as me. I've got these brown stains all over the hood and trunk of my car from parking under a tree the last 4 days when I lost my only key. I washed the car today and tried some bug/tar remover but it didnt really help. Its got spots on it and runs down the sides of the car. Its not terribly visible but you can tell its there and its really pissing me off. Theres no texture to the spots, just a spot and they wont come out with bug/tar remover, or at least the kind I have...

lock de-icer takes it rate off. make sure u wax over the spots u rubbed with the lock de-icer, or better yet the whole car. For those who are wondeing what lock de-icer is its the stiff used to squirt in your car door locks when theyre frozen up and u cant unlock your car

Get some Zymol wax and that will take the brown marks off...
Any other stains just go to advance and buy a can of Laquer thinner...it won't harm the clear don't worry...it will help take off any other stubborn stains. Just lay some wax over it after to help protect and keep clean.

Well, the lock de-icer is basically alchohol isn't it? I'll probably try the zymol and if that doesnt get it good I'll clean it up real good and claybar it at last resort. I wouldn't be so worried about it since you can hardly tell, but I'm selling this car January 3rd (already have a deposit) so I can pick up my 99 Z28! First F-body w00t!
