ARP bolts, can you tell diff. visually
Can you tell the difference between a ARP 8740 vs an ARP 2000 rod bolt visually?
Also how high can you spin each respective set of bolts up to?
I dont know which I have on the used motor I bought. Previous owner doesn not know.

Yes, you can tell..well sometimes anyway... ARP 2000's usually have "ARP 2000" stamped on the head of the hex head bolts.
How high can you spin them... that depends on bolt diameter, piston weight, rod weight, RPM, Stroke and several other variables. Generally larger bolts and better bolt material will go higher.
ARP 2000's are a very good bolt. Ours regularly see 8000rpm and 750hp(400+Cubes)....we do change them after 3 seasons though, just to be safe.
