Default Wiring question!!!

I bought a roller and I put the motor and transmission in my question is there are about 6 black wires coming out of the firewall near the brake booster they have been cut I am not sure what them wires go to. I am sorry if this is a dumb question I am not that mechanically savy. The motor came with a wiring harness I hooked almost everything up and when i try to start the motor nothing happens but all my lights seem to work. Thank you for any help with this.

Are the wires solid black, or do they have a colored stripe on them, what year and exact model is the car, end are the wires bolted to the firewall, or do they come through the firewall?

It sounds like they are the ground wires that bolt to the back of the drivers side head, but want to be sure before I say bolt them down there

Thank you for your help I just tore my pedals out to put manual pedals in and they are not hooked to nothing. I am not sure why someone put them there but they look like they might have been for aftermarket gauges or something. Again thank you

If you swapped the manual pedals in you might be missing the clutch switch or another safety switch for park/ neutral switch
