Default corvette FRC/Coil covers on an fbody

so i recently bought a set of corvette fuel rail/coil covers to put on my 2000 trans am, and i will be custom painting them to say trans am, also with realistic flames, etc (i do airbrushing, tail tinting, and custom paint work) and was wondering how will i need to modify them to fit on my trans am? do they need cut, etc? i would like to mod them before i dive into painting them..thanks!

Could have been better tho, ...
You should have bought the two-slot covers & split the foil-wrap on the fuel lines & ran them thur the slots. At least that way they would have sit down further along the lower edge. I'd be willing to bet that the clips aren't fastened to the coil studs.

And not exactly 'No modifications' either. They've been cut for the throttle bracket relief.

well considering you have a 2000, that means you have EGR and AIR. if both are still in the car, then youll need to cut the back. I cut mine by just looking at what was done out there. the only cuts that arent shown are the new location for the oil dipstick, and the slot to fit the throttle cable.

heres who i did my throttle cable:

andthe end result

I didnt have to do any modification with the drivers side, but i got rid of all my Air and EGR stuff so i didn't have to. If you have that you cut like shown in the above post. My passenger side i had to cut a place for the throttle cable, dipstick, and a cut a little bit on the back cuz it made it fit better against the big wire bundle the goes back there. Just test fit before you paint them thats what i did.
