Another install (Dome-light LED), pics...
I re-installed a new rigid loop 9 LED SMT board in the dome light. This replaced the non SMT 8 led standard festoon. I really like all the new SMT LED stuff, very bright and well built. The installation on of the rigid loop took a little patience, loop needed to be opened up just a little bit to fit the stock connectors. This really compliments the cargo lamp I installed last week. I now have plenty of light between the dome & cargo lamp
Old festoon rigid loop (8 led super white standard)
New rigid loop ( 9 led SMT super white )

I believe he is talking about the lights staying just a tiny bit, worried about draining the battery. I have seen posts about LEDs doing this even when the car is off and the lights should be off.

Yup..
I had to place a regular style bulb in the dome lamp. I kept the LED's in the map sockets and it all works fine now.
When I ran all LED's my LED's would stay on for pretty much ever. You could only see this at night in the dark. It was weird, I never totally figured it out.

Yeah, the thing with LEDs is that because they require so little power to light up, there are some types of LEDs that will actually remain lit a tiny bit; thing is, this little amount would not be enough to light up a standard bulb...even a little bit.
I do like the mood affect as the light dim before they go out.
(Sorry about the lighting; UV light is kind of hard to take pictures with)

I still think you have a problem with the circuit ( IE: load, make sure your using a proper quality Electronic Load flasher (EL12) ) If not, that is your first obstacle to overcome; hence the word load being imperative. Second, you could be using an inexpensive poor designed LED ? I have used nothing but high quality SMT's throughout the interior and exterior. Only had 1 SMT on one LED fail out of everything and it was replaced by the vendor promptly. High quality SMT LED's will be expensive, but it is the only way to go ( IMO ).

I'm keepin up with you on interior lighting Mikey, just not on the rest of the car, LOL.
Lookin good man. I can't wait to get my panels wrapped & all my interior back in the car. I just gotta get this tach illumination problem figured out. If it's messed up to where it just will not illuminate I'll have to swap tachs.

I just installed the same LED's but in red.
Heres my re-finished interior lighting. I did the guages in guages, HVAC, and light switch in white. Then I did my ASR/Fog lights in white and orange, then I did the rest of the interior lighting in red. I chose red because it doesn't affect my night vision as much when driving. Also note the left map light has no red bulb in it, i lost it and gotta order a new one.
Then today I started on taking off my side trim aswell... Ive gotta get the wax lines off still.
