Default Moving seat brackets?

Hey guys I was wondering if it is possible to move the mounting bracket of the front seats back some without some safety concerns. I am 6'4 and I do not really fit that well in my 2000 Firehawk T/a even with the seat all the way back. I have not removed the seats to check yet since I do not want to put any effort in untill I get some advice from you all!

If you do a search, you should find a couple of good answers to this. One being you remove a tab on the track and you slide another 1/4 back. Then there was one person who shows a how to make the track go back INCHES more, very interesting for those who are tall. I'm 6'5 so I just **** the seat back like I'm going to the moon It helps the knees.
