yeah, there twist and lock, the new LED fits just like it should but the contact points on the socket are on the ends and the LEDs are on the sides so they don't match up right.

this i how I did it the 1st time, I have sense switch to the WLEDx5 much better light output.

Yeah we did the WLED-x5, but we broke the leads off of two of the LEDs. They are a lot more fragile than they look.

Would those work for the headunit back light? The ones for the headunit are nearly identical but the base has a flat top so that it can slide into the headunit. It is a neo-wedge bulb like that - I think T4 but I'm not sure.

I have no idea, that's a 194 led, just order a few and try them, if you order in small test samples they will accept returns or so I read.

I think this one is the one I'm looking for. I could be wrong though. The only way to be sure is when I get a chance to open up the headunit and measure the base of the bulb in millimeters.

For the dome lights you put a fixed loop festoon, is this the same as a rigid loop?

Has anyone converted their tail lamp bulbs to LED's? Also, how about the back up lamps and the license plate lamps?

Brake lights and my entire interior (red) here Don't forget that you have to add resistors and a flasher for the turn signals and hazards...

I have a '99 Z with a stock gauge cluster.

I want to replace my gauge cluster bulbs with LEDs and want to keep the stock color scheme and was wondering if I need to get colored LEDs or simply white ones to keep the stock look of my gauge cluster.

I know that I should get some WLED-HP6 LEDs and that I will need to grind the tops down to make the fit/shine properly.

Thanks for the help.

The Sylvanias site isnt 100% accurate. For example, the reverse lights are 3156 not 1156
