Okay. After fishtanking my clear corners, i'm gonna mod them.

Regardless. I've blown TWO stock turn's already.

So where the heck can i get a 10 pack of these bulbs to keep around? Perhaps at a discount. Boy was i dumb to buy the LONG LIFE lol, 2 weeks (Amber stock corners) style.

plan of attack:
1. Remove and repair clears with mucho RTV silicone.
2. Build drain holes in bottom as someone else recommended.
3. Buy a shirt load of them 3157's.

NOW. I'm not a big fan of the clears being on all the time. Is it possible to invert its operation? As in the lights only come on when the turn signal blinks like every other friggen car on the planet?

I bought my amber 3157 bulbs at a Kragen.

As for the LED's, lots of guys run them. They burn cooler so warpage/burning isn't a problem, especially with clear corners. I think some found that they aren't as bright as the regular bulbs though.

thanks. I'm gonna try that first. I can't see why the DRL's are there. They just seem to melt the connector which seems retarded.

I already cracked the fishtank clear corner. So i ordered another, and will do some serious water proofing, and bust out a few small drain holes now that i know where the water resides. $38 down the tube no biggie...

I'm thinking with !drl, and super RTV'd clears i'll be happy again.

i lost 2 of the 3 bulbs burnt already with the stock ambers (no water) , so i'm guessing theres more to it than just the water. Hell i'll just be californian and not blink when its wet out for now.

Sounds like a nice weekend project when the schtuff arrives.

I just bought some off of ebay for 19.95 brand new and they were and exact match as the stock turnsignal. they already had drain holes. Havent had a blown bulb yet been about 2 1/2 months since then. I have the orange bulbs that i bought from walmart, first i had the white ones then i liked the orange better.

Try Napa. Also...BMW uses a 3157 type bulb they are higher quality then the ones GM uses; try your local BMW dealer's parts dept. You can get the 3157 in standard clear or yellow "amber" from the BMW dealer.
