They can be removed with a heat gun, gluey residue will be left on the car. Emblems can be reapplied with some 3M double sided tape.

ya I am also interested in this. Wouldn't it be feasible to take them off, apply some duplicolor and re attach with 3M? Just wondering if anyone has done this.

Don't over think the process.. Overlays can be used and will be much faster.

OR if you must. you can catch a nice warm day and get behind the emblems with your nail gently pull away from the door. Once its started get behind it with some fishing line and move it up and down in a sawing motion work from the side you started on toward the other side gently pulling along the way to help seperate the glue from the door. Then use goof off or lighter fluid or some rubbing alcohol to get the residue off the door and the back of the emblem.

Paint and re-apply using 3M double sided tape.

To ensure you get the emblems in the desired spots again apply blue painters tape around the edges of the emblem so you know where to put them back on at and snap a picture or two.

To ensure the emblems stick and do not fall off after you put them on. Make sure its nice and warm out and that theres no rain or water going to touch the emblems for at least 24 hours to give the tape time to adhere to the body and emblem.

Oh and Next time around, try the search feature
