Default How do i remove my ugly sun visors?

I bought a camaro the other day and the sun visors look like they went through a blender so i want to take them off. there are three screws that keep the mirror attached and the whole thing comes off HOWEVER i want to take the metal triangle off and reattach it so i dont have two big holes in the headliner. how in the world do i do that? its rotates on a spring but didnt have any obvious signs to get it off.

PLEASE HELP ME! the mirror cardboard keeps getting in my eyes while i drive lol

Just grab the cardboard visor part, and pull it straight out. It will leave the Arm piece and triangle piece intact. I have to do this every time i go to the track since my visor is worn out. It will be a little hard pull off, so just give a good tug, and it'll slide off.

I just took some plastic, drilled three holes, counter sank them so the screws wouldn't stick out, shaped and rounded the edges, then painted them black (gloss black in these pics, but I just painted them a flat black so they won't stand out).

I'm installing them this weekend and I'll post more pics.

I took some of that material they make clip boards out of cut it in the shape of the triangles, rapped them in the material from the visor and glued them over the holes. It held for several years and I'm sure it would have held for several more but I got rid of the car.
