Default Paging Big Mike: RE: Billet Specialties wheel

Hey, I love your steering wheel and want one just like it. My only question is did you have to do anything to get it to mount in place of the stock one? Did you order an adapter from Billet Specialties? You have any estimate on the weight savings? What about the grip of the leather and the feel of the wheel? Thanks a lot for any input.

Thanks for the compliment. The steering wheel is really baddass when you see it in person! It has lots of "attitude"!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Anyway, All you need is an adapter for a GM 1996-1997 non-airbag setup, and your golden! p/n is BSP-29004

As far as weight saving goes, all I know the billet steering wheel, w/ adapter, and horn button weighs just over 5 lbs. I think the stock setup w/ airbag is like 20-25 lbs.

The grip of the leather is awesome! Talk about quality. This is REAL leather, it smells like a fine leather couch! The leather is a half wrap, which only covers the face of the steering wheel. The back side of the wheel is aluminumw/ the finger grips around the entire wheel. It's a little cold tot he touch on a cold winter morning, but it warms up fast.

All I can say is your gonna love this wheel. It definitely gets attention!

Mike
