My "TRANSMARO Part 2" Project
pics to come starting tomorrow and throughout the weekend.
I just get the car a couple hours ago, so i couldn't get pictures of it yet.
if you haven't seen, check: https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...sion-plan.html
Yes, this is real and i'm being serious, I'm building a half/n/half car. Expect to see the entire process in this thread, I'm going to take plenty of pics along the way.
original transmaro car, to give an idea:
Front end will come from my car:

some pictures of the new camaro. the body is in perfect condition. no dents or dings. sittin on four donuts
SS spoiler sat up like 1/" on both sides, so it was going to need work to get the fit right. And i'm not sure if its normal for aftermarket spoilers, but its really light/hollow, like it'd break if i sat enough weight on it. I'm going to buy one from thespoilercompany to see how it compares.
gonna get the interior and engine bay cleaned up this weekend.
10/22/10 Update:
so far i've gotten the hood, bumper, fenders, windshield wiper grill, and mirrors removed from the front, and some of the stuff removed from the rear so i could get in there for some good cleaning.
I'm going to need some bigger/taller jack stands so i can really get up under the car to do a good cleaning, and spray it (not sure with what yet).
I'll probably get the engine bay pressure washed tomorrow, and finish cleaning out the interior as well. Funds are really low right now, so i gotta wait a bit before i buy extra firebird fenders/doors.
10/24/10 Update:
pulled a bit more off the front today. (foam crash pad, fogs, some of the bumper support brackets...)
been getting rained in, so i haven't been able to get out much. and i'm going to be busy for the next few days. hopefull i'll get my t/a fenders/brackets and foam support on friday or saturday.

I'm going to follow this to see how it comes out. No offense, but I would never do this, the cars look great the way they are and the overall shape of each are too differant to to put together. IMO with a firebird and Camaro rollers I think it would be easier and look better to modify the quarters of the bird to fit the Camaro hatch, tails, and rear bumper, that way to curves of the front match the curves of the rear.
