Plastic grill on SS hood?
Does anyone know the best way to remove the plastic grill on a stock SS hood?
I don't want to hurt the paint nor the grill as it will be replaced.
Thanks for knowledgable replys.

There are 4 little clips along the bottom and 4 along the top. I used a coat hanger wire to hook onto the screen and pulled ever so slightly and used a small flathead screwdriver to lift up on each tab and ppull slightly with the hook to pull it out just a little at a time as you do each clip.

NC, It's actually easier if you use a small pocket flat screwdriver to pry the top clips down slightly and use your finger to keep the top egde pryed as you CAREFULLY pry each clip down....they do bust very easy. Once the top edge is pryed away from the scoop, simply lift up and your done. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> http://members.aol.com/bergerrefinis...02/berger.html

Even better, get some needle nose pliers, grab one of the top vertical slots with the pliers, right under the tabs, and pull dpwn, they come right out, and no chance of slipping and scratching your hood. Good luck.
