Default Cage & Harness Qs

When done welding in a cage how do you paint it? Also what is the propper way to mount a 4/5 point harness so that it meats NHRA standards or normal safety standards?

Mine was painted before the cage was installed. then they just did a little touchup on the welds.

I painted mine after install (it was a custom). Mask off as much as you can, and fog it.

And then spend 10-12 hours clay barring the entire car to get all the overspray off.

I have my shoulder harnesses looped around the harness bar, but I'm not sure that's "legal". I think they are supposed to be bolted to a tab. I'll have to get a tab TIG'd on to the cage back there.
