what to do about wheels........
i want to get some wider rims for the back, to fit bigger tires, but my car is lowered, and i have read some stuff about 315's not fitting if it is lowered because the tires are too tall. im not too sure about the tire stuff/wheel stuff. but my car is lowered one inch (hotchkis) and i want some wider tires. anyone have any suggestions on what will fit width and height, and what size rims would be best. can i fit 315's? also, i am pretty ify on this, but i heard something about getting your original rims widened. anyone else heard of this. it sounds kinda fishy, but if it works, i would be willing because i like the ZR-1 style SS wheels. and would want to stick to something like that. or is there anyplace that sells wheels in pairs that i could get a set of wider ones just for the back. sorry about all of the questions, just curious. thanks <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> josh

Dont worry about rubbing. I had 17x11 zr1s on the back of my ss and its lowered 2" with Eibach Sportlines. No rub...just gotta buy the right offset. Call me if you need any help.

Re: what to do about wheels........
i dunno how that'd work...i mean, they'd have to heat up the wheel and pull it, or just slice it, and put in a new piece it seems. I wouldnt mess w/ that, spend the extra coin, and get a better quality job. I know $$$ is a problem, im sure, but i wouldnt want any of my vehicles, sittin on something like that.
