Default questions about getting an oem or aftermarket ws6 hood

Buying a trans am soon and plan on getting the ws6 hood, and I know ill get some heat for this but if I were to get one of the aftermarket non functional ones would it just fit right onto my car? Or would modifications be needed. And can you suggest any decent sites to get one?

I've been lookin everywhere for a functional black one to no avail, so I may just sttle for an aftermarket, and just wondering if it will just fit right on, thanks

No aftermarket hood will fit as well as a factory piece, period. If you can't find a factory hood (takes patience, but they do come up) you could save yourself a lot of frustration later by spending more now and a quality aftermarket hood. VFN Fiberglass is known to be a great source for aftermarket WS6 hoods that don't require as much prep work when your body guy goes to put it on. Good luck in your search.

Default hood

when hood hunting look for a good name brand like trufiber, suncoast ,vfn
harwood , american sportscar . trufiber for example uses original GM molds
to make their hoods, fit is pretty good too. warning. stay away from a
company called liberty fiberglass their hoods are total junk.

That's usually not a good idea. Any aftermarket hood really needs to be looked at by a professional before it gets any paint on it.
