Default Tubbing a 1998 corvette

HELP!!! I am trying to find a way to mini-tub the rear for 335/30 tires for that Viper look. I located mini-tubs from Mallet for $3500. Yes, $3500. Has anyone out there tubbed their Corvette for a whole lot cheaper price than what I found. What other alternatives are there??? Should I buy those factory fenderwells from the dealer??? I plan on doing the work myself. Are there shops that can do this???? I live in Corpus Christi.
