Default Started interior mods (LED's)

So I put in my new bulbs from superbrightleds.com and they look great. I just need to finish by converting the steering wheel buttons, traction control/fog light switches and eventually a new headunit, in green of course Anyways here's a pic of the progress so far.

and the car we're dealing with-

Comments and suggestions welcome

Regards,
Ryan

I really love the green but everything that's red on the cluster doesn't really light up anymore I wonder if there's any way to fix that?

That looks awesome, I might consider changing mine to yellow. How long did the install take so far?

About 1.5 hours into it right now and I did the door lock leds, cluster, gear indicator, HVAC and headlight switch.

^^Thanks, I think the yellow would look awesome and I always had the idea of getting a McNord overlay and having the black face gauges, like stock, but the having the tach yellow- a la Ferrari. I think that would look sick on a car like yours Pete.

It's not to hard to change them. You just need to pop the covers off and remove the circuit board from the back of them. Of course this is all off from the car. I tried a set with 3MM LEDs and a resistor. You could probably get a 5MM in there. I can't recall how mcuh space there is between the two bulbs.

Looks good other than the dark spaces. But I can't remember if there's a way to fix that on stock overlays.

I used this list to order the right bulbs https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-led-list.html

And then I read this thread for a quick how to. It's pretty easy to figure out though https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...eds-guide.html

Heres a little tip . Sand down the tips of the LEDs with 1000 or 2000 grit sandpaper
so theyre flat . Dont go too far down just enough so the top is flat and not see
through (clear) anymore . This cuts down on hot spots and makes the lighting more
soft looking .

^ the bulbs on the list and the ones I used aren't standard leds. they're the SMD ones that look like a little micro chip. Wicked brite though and they are small enough that there's multiple leds, aimed in different directions, on the same bulb.
