Default Got rid of the side moulding. Residue left over?

Took my side moulding off yesterday and got rid of all the double sided tape.Took a little while but wasnt too bad. However, now you can lightly see the outline of where it used to be and it is rough to the touch. Would a claybar help clean this up or what? Thanks guys

Wouldn't hurt to try a clay bar or even a pin-stripe eraser. The car might have been repainted with those in place.

I would try Goo Gone. Stoner also makes a product called Tarminator that works for bugs/tar/sap really well with little elbow grease.

I am always sure to dawn wash and rinse these products off of the area I applied them.

I would also clay after these steps

Good luck

Funny I have the same thing only on the drivers side rear piece, the one that's on the quarter panel, like 5" long. I don't know why just that one has it.

I just did this to a friends car and my own. Just used wd-40 and elbow grease. Took about 20 minutes total each car.
