Not sure how it is done, but I just bought my 97 LT1 T/A and it has LS1 lumbar seats put in it.

It's easy to put 4th gen seats into another 4th gen as they will literally bolt right in.

5th gen seats into a 4th gen very well may not be that simple, as they may have totally different mounting and everything.
