Default Gen4Racing Harness Bar... Any Experience?

Ok, not trying to open the debate of a harness bar vs a cage. We can all do a search and find plenty of that

What I'm wondering is if anyone has any experience with the Gen4Racing Harness bar?
It looks like it solves one of the main issues I've had with harness bars which is the lack of a 4-pt mounting arrangement. And the attachment points seem to be at decent structure points... although I'm a little concerned about the downrod brackets being cantilevered to the rear. Seems in an actual accident this would allow the harness bar to move up or down a few inches. Still much better than a 2-pt attached harness bar!

So, any experience? Thoughts?

Mark.

I recall seeing pictures of the specific bar after a crash, and it was all mangled and in areas I wouldn't want a harness bar to be.

If you're worried about what a harness bar does in a collision, perhaps you shouldn't be looking into one.

Any chance you could find those pics?

Thanks,

That was a different harness bar in those pics. Though I've never seen the product in person, I've talked with Corey and he seems to know his stuff and not put out garbage.

They used his bar in a recent Camaro Performers magazine and I actually send customers his way, looks like a really nice piece to me...
