Youre also talking a $120 product vs a $13 product. Yeah, Zainos going to have some advantages over the Meguires, but is it enough to make up the $100+ difference and the hassle of the onine ordering only? Im a Zaino user and Ill see his car first hand since he my Dad

I've used them both, and both recently, and they are comparable. I think Zaino still has the edge in durability, but I think NXT has the edge in looks (much deeper/wetter)
If durability is your thing - stick with your Zaino. If you want to see what I think is a richer looking shine, try out the NXT - at only $14 a bottle you can't go wrong. If you don't like it use it on your friends' cars.

And on a BLACK car none-the-less! Excellent. I'm always up to try something new. I've been using 3M products for over a year now with great results. I was one that switched from Zaino. IMHO, best thing I ever did. Zaino, while I'm not saying it isn't durable, is a waiste of my money. I wax my car, and detail it at least once a month, so durability isn't my first priority... looks of the finished product are. I'll have to try the Meguires stuff. When I first started working and detailing cars back when I was 17 I started with Meguires products. Funny how things come full circle.

jon - you will be impressed. use meguiar's colorx first, and then go back over your paint with one/two coats of tech-wax. one will suffice, but 2 will catch everything you perhaps didn't get the first time around. 3 or more coats are pointless. i think colorx is as amazing a product as the tech-wax. the colorx will remove every swirl if used correctly. GREAT products, way better than anything meguiar's has put out yet.

NXT is layerable, but like any other product, only up to a point.
4-5 layers is very realistic, any more (with any product - including the almighty you know what) is reaching the point of diminishing returns and you're not going to experience any film-build. As JonSS pointed out - when you're "waxing" often enough, how much is durability really an issue? The only reason you would layer is for looks - and after about 3 coats of anything you're at about the best its gonna look.
Lawman - NXT is above and beyond the "class" of gold glass. For the most part, gold class is an oily, not-very-durable, smeary consumer-level product. NXT has, it seems, brought "enthusiast" technology to the level of the consumer (i.e. available at Wal-Mart) They aren't even comparable - NXT is above and beyond Gold-Class.

Let us know how long it lasts. I use Zaino and couldn't be more happier.

Hmmm, I was going to wait for the new Menzerna line to be released, but for the price, this looks like a pretty good system. I think I'll give it a shot, at least, since I'm almost out of Zaino.
