ok im maybe going to do a little project for a friend i know and they want the cloth section of their door panel on their 04 jetta redone in a black cloth... ok what would you recomend to glue the cloth to the foam or whatever lie beneath? if i just use some 3m spray on adhesive would it make the cloth hard like?

You need to completely disassemble the door panel. Once its apart it will become obvious how to rewrap that panel, then you reassemble. The door panels are plastic welded together in spots so you will have to break those and then use short screws to put it back together.
