Default Need a good filler for center console project

I deleted my ash tray so i can install an iPod charging dock, but i cant decide what filler to use that wont shrink and crack in south texas heat.

I would get some abs plastic sheet, shape it, and use some 2 part epoxy to bond it to the original.

Or you can use plastic repair but its quite expensive for such a small project

what we use at the body shop for plastic bumpers is a Polyester glaze coat filler. is sticks well to plastic and has a little more "give" to it than regular filler.
