Default removing the bird

I peeled the Trans Am & the bird grapics off the tail light. The p/o must have replaced the faded original red one w/ chrome that I don't like. When I removed the chrome decal there are some red original pieces that won't come off. Is there a way to remove it w/o ruining the plastic on the tail light? Thank you.

Wet sanding is your friend. You won't believe how smooth you can get that plastic. Do a search on Tech on smoothing your center piece.

Rubbing compound. Like you use to clean up the clear plastic on headlights. Works great.

Isopropyl Alcohol (about $1 from any store) took that red ink off in about a minute. Then I used Meguire's Ultimate Compound and buffed it right up. I didn't like it all black so I eventually bought the matte black decal from fourthcircledesigns.com

Thanks everyone for all of the help. I tried some 330 which I think is prepsol at my friends shop. The rubbing compound worked great. It would have been even better if I owned a buffing wheel but it is more then good for 2.99. Ended up compounding & waxing the entire car, feels like glass now. I hope this thread ends up helping other people too. Thanks again.
