Maybe I should of called the thread replaced all the stock bulbs with LEDs. I replaced all exterior as well, no pics yet.
Very easy to do with some patience, basic tools, a 40w soldering iron and beers.

And just because,

Sweet! You can make power points in your car!!
I have had an extra pair of steering wheel buttons for about 4 years now to do the led conversion. I'll do it one day.

I added a 5mm. I used whatever the direct replacement led was. I put an additional 5mm 360° bulb on top of the switch, in between it and the vent.

Yes 3mm and 5mm although 2, 5mm would be fine.
Pop out the controls. They come out easy From top and bottom, just pry gently with a small flathead. They disconnect facing on the outside
Pull apart the controls.
Break the old bulbs off.
Solder leds with 1/4watt 470ohm resister on the cathode (longer, +) side of the led.
Ensure you are soldering to the + side of the board with the cathode. The positive side is the blue wire side. If I remember correctly the + are the inside points on the seek controls And the outside of the vol controls. If you get lost just follow the tracks embedded in the board, follow both sides.
I melted small amounts of solder on the iron then rolled it on where needed. Youll be fine if you take your time and keep a steady hand.

looks amazing!!! a tip tho to everyone- since the camaro has blue film behind it, it will still light up (slightly lighter) blue if you replace the bulbs wit white bulbs instead of blue ones PLUS youll retain the red parts of the gauges as well as having well lit needles.

I'd be afraid of my car burning to the ground after attempting an install like that myself... but it looks great when done right.
