Default Glass Lens for T/A Fogs

After running HID's in my stock fogs last season, the stock plactic lenses started to show signs of deformation.

I had 1/4" glass cut at my local window supply store to the diameter of the orginal plastic lens size. (I also had them cut 1/8" glass but that looked prone to being blasted by small rocks).

Cut, bond and then paint about 1/4" around the outside diameter to hide the RTV and there you go, non-melting lenses. We'll see what happens to the housing now.

Another great idea buddy!!

Personally, i would have gone the extra mile and gone anti-fog by smoothin the fascia.....slacker.

Thanks pal!

I'll pass on that other idea for my ride.

The housing made it through last year, so we'll see what happens. The good thing is that the glass lenses only cost $18, so no big deal if I have to trash them.

I'm fitting a set of 2002 Mustang Cobra glass fogs to my son's Mustang which will fit perfect in our openings.

Thanks Rick. I'm getting the itch to get this thing rollin' once the weather breaks. See you soon!

I cut and formed the corners a piece of abs (around our patio umbrella pole!) to the shape of the opening and then bracketed it to the backside of the fascia. I also made the side panels removable so I can adjust and service the fog lamps.

(Not bracketed in this picture)
