Default Ok, so I have a stock engine bay...

I have intentions on dressing it up a little just to add a little flare. I'm purchasing a AMW PCV catch can to prevent detonation but also realize that this could be a slight appearance upgrade as well. My car is Onyx Black and I'm going to be using a silver/medium gray as my secondary color and red as an accent. Don't really know what color I should choose for the can. I'm thinking red right off of the top of my head. What do you guys think? You input is appreciated.

Either red, or clear (silver).

As for bling the only expensive item I have is my strut tower brace. Other than that the only item that I had to purchase were the chrome looking wire looms. Everything else was just elbow grease, steel wool and metal polish. My car is black and I was after the same kind of color combo as you. The only red I plan to do under the hood will the the spark plug wires. Pics are in my sig. The last page from this past weekend has some of the best engine pics.

So, any further information on how to get that shiny ac dryer and other components? What type of steel wool and how do you get it so shiny!? Do they pretty much stay that way or are you constantly redoing them to keep it up

The fastest way to polish any and all components is to use tripoli compound available at most hardware stores (got mine at Ace) and a polishing wheel. However, if you get a bag of steel wool pads and use them then swap over to a metal polish like Mothers then you will achieve the same results. It just takes longer. Once you get it looking the way you want you will need to polish it once in a while. The more you do it the better it will look.
