Wow, I am genuinely surprised by the poll results so far! I'll wait til the weekend for a conclusion, but the insight from all of y'all is awesome. I really thought the white would have gone down in flames... glad I asked.

I'm more inclined to keep it black since I like the look more, but in the end it's your car and you have to go with what you think is best!

I like it black with the dark tint. But regardless, please no stripes on it. Chevy's aren't supposed to have stripes on the roof.

Guys, thanks for all your input! It ended up evening out in the poles, but with the wife's two votes, the panel will be done in white.

I've been practicing with painting and buffing, and I think I'm ready to paint the sail panel. I did a roll pan and some side mirrors in green metallic for my truck that came out really nice, so I'll be painting this panel when the paint comes in. I'm not skilled enough to do stripes, but I've been told that stripes on a Chevy top is a faux pas anyway... so no stripes, lol!

Almost done, I somehow lost the little triangles! I took them off a couple months ago, not sure what I did with them... May have to hit a junkyard.

Ripping off the old roof is one of the best feelings in the world, haha! No more bubbles!

Get some new triangles from Emblempros. Use the misplaced parts as an excuse to do a little appearance mod

Those don't replace the trims themselves, they just overlay. Maybe some day, but I need to worry about the trims themselves for now!

Also as an FYI, the factory sail panel is about half the weight of a 6LE piece. Fun fact of the day...

Really? Interesting. I wonder why, it shouldn't be any thicker as it was made from a factory piece mold. I have my 6LE panel still sitting in the basement, waiting for that glorious day it will be installed and the car painted. It isn't really a heavy piece to begin with so the factory one must be extremely light.

I think it looks 100x's better with the white sail panel! Digging the RaceStars up front too
