Default Hardtop to T-Top Conversion

I saw a red camaro yesterday with t-tops and was so jealous, it's pretty hot in the south and I would love to have t-tops on my car.

Is it as simple as replacing the roof?

Would the structural integrity be the same as factory installed t-tops? I would add frame stiffeners and everything I could

Its a pretty complicated time consuming process but if done right with subframe connectors it can be done. I've thought about doing this since my roof is bubbly as **** but I decided I am just going to buy a carbon fiber shell and tint it a little with black and clear mixed paint.

The search feature is your friend on this one, plenty of threads that cover this in very intricate detail.

I've done it myself before, it's not that hard.

Before the first cut:


With the roof skin off:


Cutting and forming the corners and channels:






Test fitting the weather stripping and tops:




Dong some quick body work:








All done:
