Convertible to t-top theory.
Hey guys, exactly how hard do you think it would be to convert a firebird/TA convertible to t-top. I know you'd need to weld and need a whole new back window, I was just wondering how much work/money it would involve and if it's even possible at all!

Everything is possible with enough time, effort, skills, money...
For something like this money depends on how much work you can do yourself. If you're doing all of the work the cost is pretty much limited to buying the necessary parts (sail panel, hatch, interior panels, headliner, dome lighting, etc), which would be easiest to get from a donor car so you can pull everything you need without having to search for everything separately. If I'm not mistaken the windshield is also different with the verts? So that may need to be changed. Of course you'll have to get everything painted after so that is an additional cost.
One of those projects you get into if 1) you've got lots of time/money on your hands and are up for a challenge or 2) you've already got a lot of time/money/sentimental value in the car and you'd rather make it the way you want than to sell it and just buy a t-top car.
If you're not fitting one of those two you'd be best going with the suggestions above of selling the current car and buying another.. Or buy a second car!

lets put it this way, it would be easier to strip your vert of every last nut and bolt and put everything into a donor car then to even begin to attempt something this wild. and the donor car would be like a 5th the cost of paying someone to do all the welding and cutting needed to do this.
