Default Blacking out taillights

So I want to black out my taillights but worried that the lights won't be bright enough.do u have to switch to leds if so can u recommend which leds you used?

When I blacked out the tail lights on my TA all we did is use a tinted clear, so it looked black but you could still see the brake lights or running lights. I kept my stock bulbs.

You'll be fine use one of the taillight sprays. Did it on my old 4th gen.

I would definately get it sprayed with a mixture of clear and black. The tail light spray just looks terrible compared to professional automotive paint. I've had both and stuck with the ones with auto paint. The tint spray went in the garbage. They're fine with stock bulbs
