Default Q about after market seat mount hardware

I'm considering getting either sparco or corbeau LG1 seats for my camaro.

My question is if either of these sits will too high with the slider and mounting brackets under the seat?

stock seat mounts have sliders built in, for after market seats it looks like there's extra hardware just to make the seat work like stock seats.

Anyone have experience with this?

I have corbeau forza's in my car with their double locking sliders and they do sit a bit higher than stock, but not by much. I'm 5'11 and have about a 1/2" to 1" of head room in my hardtop Camaro IIRC, haven't sat in it since November though lol

That gives me some confidence about since I'm 5'8".

Did the sliders mount to your car floor or did you also need additional brackets ?

it seems like I need seat + slider + mounting brackets?

Seats or mounting brackets can have sliders... or none at all.

Corbeau's bracket has both the mounting bracket and slider incorporated into one piece.

if you do go with Corbeau, I suggest getting the dual locking slider just for piece of mind. my seats with brackets were about $450 to my door each (I ordered them at different times like an idiot)

they are pretty comfortable for me ( 5'11 165lbs) I dont notice my backside getting numb and cramped anymore on long drives from when i had the worn out stock seat in there..

only thing I need to remedy is figure out a way to strap back the seatbelt from rubbing on my neck since it doesnt have the loop anymore

Majestic9C1 Thanks for the response. I just got a 8 point cage for my car and will be going with 5 point harnesses so hopefully I should have to worry about the stock belts. They look like a nice seat!

I put Cipher seats in my car on top of Planted brackets. I actually had to add coupling nuts at the front to raise them, as the angle was too flat. At the rear though, they are too tall. They need to be about 1/2 to 1 inch shorter to match the stock seats. Combined with the taller headrests, the first time I flipped the seat forward, I broke the sun visor open.

The Planted brackets also have the holes in the wrong place. I had to drill custom holes to move each seat 1" closer to the center of the car. For what Planted charges for the brackets, they could definitely be more plug-and-play. They feel sturdy though.
