Default how to fix dents?

Over the 4th of July weekend, I got my first dent. It's right above the gas tank where there is no way to access the back side of it and push it out.
I was told by one of my retarded friends that you can leave your car in the sun on a hot day and then put an ice cube on it, therefore making the metal expand/contract and it magically pops out. I've never heard of that...anyways is there anything I can do to pop it back out?
Thanks,
Kyle

I had 2 dents taken out of my blk Z's quarter panel with paintless dent removal and you can't even tell. I would locate a good shop with the paintless dent removal and they can fix you up. Its a lot cheaper than bodywork.
