Need help for laying down blackbird stripes?
Got a set of Blackbird stripes for xmas and Im dying to put them on the car. My question is whats a good way of doing this, ive put large vinyl things on windows before, so would it be the same way?? Also the temp is around 50-60 degrees here and I was wondering if it was too cold to put them down.
One more thing. Whats a good way to remove the red bird and "trans am" on the rear filler on the firebirds???

I put mine on and it was 40-50 degrees outside and they turned out good. IT just takes a little while longer for them to dry.
When I put mine on I just got some soapy water in a spray bottle and sprayed the hood and the stripe a little and laid it down. Once I got it where I wanted I used a credit card to work the water out of it starting from the center. I know people say to use a squeegee but I found that the credit card worked better since the stripe wasn't that wide. I also used a blow dryer to help the drying. The 1st time I did it it took a little while this last time it took a lot less time. I say take your time and pay attention to what you are doing. Its real easy

I put my 1st set on exactly as stated by 01 Red WS6 (only the tems were in the 70's and I didn't need the hairdryer).
Just recently I had my hood repainted - had them paint the stripes on in Sebring Silver (just like my intake) then clear over all. The edges are undetectable and now I won't have to deal with the coreners constantly peeling up every time I wipe over them.
I still use the decals for the 'Ram Air' and my HP/TQ Ratings.
Cost to hand block my hood/prime/paint - $264. Added charge for stripes was $75. Course the body shop owner is a good friend
