Default Brake caliper painting, what color?

I have a red SS w/chrome 5 spoke rims. I am doing the brakes and thinking about painting the calipers while I am there. I can't decide on a color. Thinking Black or red? What do you think?

Anyone have pics of painted calipers on a red car?

Red calipers with black pad brackets. Add some caliper decals for extra bling.

i like the two color suggestion! you get the best of both especially if you can't decide. It would look real good IMO! you definitely can't forget the decals tho.

I did red calipers and aluminum paint for the pad brackets. I like it better that way. I had it with the Chevy red (orange) on my other car with black brackets and I like this way better.

My car is black. I Like the red calipers with silver brackets. Got the bracket paint from Eastwood.

Nope. I used the caliper paint from Checkers. At first I didn't like it but I thought I would try it. Glad I did. It came out nicer than the other calipers I did before with spray paint. Much more glossy. You also just paint it on so there's no overspray. I did mine on the car. Just removed the brackets (2 bolts).

would it be possible to remove the brackets from the calipers and just leave the calipers attached as long as they are supported by some wire. This way I could paint my calipers and do the brackets off the car.
