Whats the best way to protect the underside of the car. I think Im going to clean it real well. Sand the metal parts like rear end, steering, etc. and paint em black with some undercoating. Then the painted parts just use some protectent and touch up any bad spots. Any other ideas would be great.

im thinking about cleaning the underside, some surface rust and then usind like the bed liner stuff to make sure it dosent come off. this is on my caprice.

oh another thing you might wanna powder coat some things. it is better than paint and usually lasts longer.

Would it look alright if I did the black undercoating on the entire underside of the car or what.

Do you mean rust encapsulator or undercoating. From personal experience using both the rust encapsulator and undercoating (this is the spray one in the spray can- undercoatig) the encapsulator seems to be a better product. I think maybe down the road both would have to be touch up though. Post a question on their board.
