Default 4" cowl inductin hood cheap or not?

i found a guy on ebay selling fiberglass cowl induction hoods that bolt right to the factory latches, he is selling them for about $420 with shipping included. i was wondering if this was a good deal or if i could find one cheaper somewhere else?

Sounds like a good deal, but personally unless he's a dealer, or a friend I dunno if I'd trust it. Plenty of scams out there, so just be careful.

I would go with VFN. Just getting my Sunoco hood painted now. The body shop said it is the best glass hood they have ever seen. It cut down on the prep time for the paint job. That saved me a lot of $$. Remember, the cost of the hood is only one part. Prep and paint are not cheap. If it is a garbage hood at a low cost you will pay out the nose for paint and prep. And it still may not look as good.

I bought a glasstek hood from a lady on ebay for $370 plus shipping, her name was Laura and it was ltd fiberglass I think. Anyway she is a dealer I guess and was good to work with. Much faster than glassteks wait too!
