Corvette steering wheel???
I've heard of people doing this, but have never actually talked to people who had it done. I wanna know if I can get a corvette steering wheel to fit on my 2000 SS and still have the functional air bag. Does anyone know where I can buy a corvette wheel for a reasonable price(corvette parts are expensive) and maybe a hub/adapter to install it. Also, has anyone done something similar that could explain the steps to do this or know of a write-up out there that I could read??? I'm not a big fan of the factory wheel, so I'm thinking a corvette wheel would look nice in there. thanks

yeah me too!!!! 2000 Z with corvette badges, I need the theme to continue on the inside as wheel (i think that how you spell it like) that and i tired of those little steering wheel radio control things and i dont even have the OEM one on there anymore, swithed to pioneer head unit with a little remote, and even then i dont use the remote, car is small enough to reach anything with out moving around!

Talk about a thread revival. I thought nobody would post up on this one. I just thought it was a neat idea because it is a smaller wheel and still has the use of the airbag and looks ALOT nicer. Also, since the corvette and f-body have alot of parts that are "similar" i figured it could be done. If anyone out here wants to chime in and shed some light on this mod, please feel free.

i agree. the firebird wheels are even worse. huge in diameter but very thin grips. i hate it. lol i got big hands. i found a real nice aftermarket momo but ya id like to live longer so ill take the airbag as a just in case. maybe call a dealership?

I'm pretty sure the corvette steering wheel wouldnt fit a camaro or firebird. They way its assembled inside the housing and the different way its hooked up I dont think would work on the camaro or firebird. thats just my opinion. It would be awesome though, but I highly doubt that a corvette one would fit. anyone tried a google search for it?
