Rear spoiler question.

Rear spoiler question. Hey guys new to the site. I tried searching for this but could not find it. I have a 2002 camaro and it has the RS package. I leave my car out in the sun a lot. The car is red and the paint is still looking good and shiny. The rear spoiler is another story. It is completly shot; the sun completely burnt the spoiler. I want to remove it and repaint the rear spoiler. Can any one give me some advice on how to remove this and probably a few pointers on the paint as well? Thanks

I'm guessing it's either the regular Z28 spoiler or the one with the add-on on top?
You can remove it buy opening the hatch and lifting the panel, there are 2 bolts. It might be cheaper to find a new spoiler of the same color than paying somebody to paint your existing one.
