Leather Seats rained on:help!!
Long story short, I left my windows down a few inches a few days back not knowing that it was going to rain later on that day. I was gone for several hours and much to my dismay I come back to find a puddle of water behind my driver side seat and both seats covered with water. I immediately dryed them off with a towel and let them air dry for a day. The following next two days I applied Meguir's Leather Care to both seats, which I generally do twice a month. Both seats now have some VERY dry spots which arent smooth like the rest of the seat. Is there any other kind of compound or solution that I can use to get the seats back to what they were before the rain incident. Unfortunately, my Meguir's doesn't seem to be working. Thanks for all your help.

ive tried alot of leather cleaners and the one that i like the best is from Car Brite. i does a really good job keeping the leather clean and soft and it has a really good smell (it smells alot like new leather, very clean smell). dont know if it will help your problem but its worth a try.

lexol?
there are 2 conditioners
one general, and one for higher end softness
try both
properautocare or autogeek.net (autogeek is great)
or PM ZaneO, I'm sure he will know something more specific for your situation
but for future reference, woolite is a good cleaner, and lexol has a great one too
and their conditioners are good too

id make sure your carpets are competely dry, i bought a car and it reaked of stale water, a leak around the hatch kept water UNDER the carpet, and the carpet has a plastic backing so it never evaporated... finding rust on a 2001 is not something i was happy about..

Happened to me too when I had my 94 T/A, I left the t-tops off when I was at work for 6 hours and it poured for about 4 of those hours. Luckily my seats were fine after using Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner every three days for about a month. I also used a small shop-vac to suck up any water on the floors.
