Default In a bind

Okay....I am wanting to paint my car in the near future...(all black...currently dark green) Well the problem comes in when I had to remove the engine and the engine bay being green...so I wanna get the engine in soon, but it is before the painting will be done...so this is my question...does anyone know of any kind of paint I could possibly use to paint the engine bay while the motor is out? Possibly a black gloss enamel kinda paint? I just want it to look decent and not come off once the engine is in and all the heat from the motor is back, dont want it to peel or anything. Anyone got any ideas?

you can rattle-can it with some high temp paint and it will stick as long as you take the time to prep and clean all painted surfaces very well before painting them.

use a fine grade sandpaper and hit those surfaces first, then clean them up with some commercial paint prep solution, or even rubbing alcohol and some lint-free rags. Put about three coats of spray paint down, with about 12 hrs drying time between coats.

Don't forget to get some of the matching primer.

Awesome this helps me a lot...I was just kinda worried that it might look shitty and not go good with the paint job and I definitely didnt want to have a green engine bay with a black car. Again Thanks!

I also found that using water along with the sand paper helped a lotttt.
