Default F'ed up my damn paint

Was taking my badges off today and when I did...the badge on my right side took some paint up with it!!!

I really like how the car looks now with the badges off but i am going to re-install them because of the damn paint that it ripped off.
It didnt go past the primer so it should be ok....do you guys think I should do anything to prevent rust....or should the glue and badge keep it from rusting?
I used 3m badge adhesive glue last time I re-installed my badges after painting them red.
I also ruined two of my badges and it cost me 50 bucks for two new ones

just a word of advice when using the 3m badge adhesive glue....it doesnt take very much!!! The **** sticks like cement.

What is a good way to get rid of the excess glue/residue left behind when the badges are removed?

you should always remove badges with a heat gun or blow dryer

unless they are on the rear quarter pannel, there is no metal to rust.
